The Common Room

I sat in my favorite chair by the fire place. It was good to be back at Hogwarts. I was excited that this was my last year, but I wondered what would happen especially with dark wizards on the rise.

Sirius came down the stairs from the boys' dorms, ruffling his hair and yawning. He looked across the room after taking a quick glance at himself in the mirror, making sure he looked his usual, casual, handsome self. He nodded to Deianera - he knew her well, having stayed with the Potters for weeks at a time during school holidays and been best friends with James since his first year. "You alright?" he asked, flinging himself into a chair opposite her, arranging his body as if he is was in a photo-shoot, yet totally naturally. "Seen James lately? He didn't come to the dorms last night."

I looked at Sirius. "Yeah, I'm all right." I lied. "And no I haven't seen James."

Adaleen walked down the stair of the girls dorms, she wasn't paying attention to where she was going when she bumped into one of the chairs. She noticed Deianera. "Sorry" she muttered, she then noticed Sirius, "Oh...Um...Hi!" she blushed.

"Hey Adaleen. What's up?"

She looked up, "N...Nothing." she said sitting next to the two, Noticing that there was something wrong with Deianera Adaleen asked, "You okay, Dei?"

"Yes, I'm ok. Why does everyone keep asking me that?"

"because you look like something is wrong," She answered.

"Well nothing is wrong. Trust me." I smiled.

"If you say so!" she smiled.

"I do say so."

Adaleen just laughed, "Okay!"

"Um Adaleen, have you seen your brother today?"

"No I haven't sorry."

"That's ok." I was hoping he had changed his mind from the last time we spoke.

Sirius leaned his head over the back of his chair to see who was speaking behind him. Ah, Moony's sister. Wow, I haven't seen her in a while... She's certainly not the shy little girl she seemed before the summer. He smiled at her, ruffling his hair again and sitting straight, but instantly moving so he was sitting backwards on the chair facing her. It was impossible for Sirius black to stay still for more than five minutes, unless something was really bothering him. "Alright Adaleen?" he asked in his low voice, which was almost like a growl, even when he was being polite.

Adaleen blushed, "Yeah, I'm good!"

"Glad to hear it," he replied, smiling his carefree, white smile at her, his teeth fairly sharp. He wondered if she'd ever thought of being an animagus because of Moony, and spent some time considering which animal she would be. It would be a silly question to ask, though. "Seems I'm the only one of the proper gang around, then," he remarked, before adding hastily, "Not that you girls aren't...in the gang, of course..."

Adaleen smiled, "I know what you're trying to say!"

Brandy walked downstairs from the girl dorms.
She sat down next to Sirius.
"Hi Bro. You seen Prongs", She asked him.

"No one has seen James? I wonder where he could be. I wouldn't be surprised if he is getting into trouble."

Adaleen thought a minute, then it hit her. "Wait, Sirius, if the other two are gone shouldn't you be with them?" she asked...not sure if Brandy knew about it.

Brandy looked at her watch, and then outside.
Tonight was the full moon and She had forgotten.
"Dang it! Sirius, try and guess what tonight is", She said frustraited.
She got up, swinging her backpack over her shoulder and stepped out of the portret-hole,
in a hurry to get to the Shreiking Shack.
